Rotary Club of River Cities Officer Installation for the 2022-23 year

During the Rotary installation ceremony held on June 20 at Old Orchard Country Club in Mount Prospect, incoming Rotary District Governor Bill Kmiecik praised the group for continuing their mission to serve the local community while continuing to raise funds for humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

Kmiecik installed the River Cities officers including Christina Ferraro president, Erich Held president-elect, Alex Todd treasurer, Jamie Mayfield secretary, Daniela Krivak director at large plus committee members: Membership CoChairs John Arndt & John Eilering, Public Image Coordinator Joanna Prisiajnious, Youth Service Chair Dan Berg, Fundraising Chair Bret Fahnstrom, Grants Committee Chair Jen Berg, International Service Chair, Club Administration Chair & Virtual Meeting Coordinator Andy Ullman

Lyle Staab, Dean of the Rotary District Leadership Academy and the Paul Harris Society Development Chair, acknowledged Alex Todd and Christina Ferraro for completing the District Leadership Academy. On behalf of the Rotary Foundation, Staab recognized Rodney Adams and Wendy Morgan- Adams who contribute generously each year to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or approved Foundation grants and therefore were inducted into the Paul Harris Society.

Ferraro thanked the club members for providing local school scholarships and one high school scholarship for a student in Kenya.  The members volunteered their time at Bernie’s Book Bank and distributed warm coats for local families in need at Thanksgiving. "We would also like to especially thank Andy Ullman for partnering with other local Rotary Clubs, merchants, and churches to raise over $60,000 for the Rotary Club of Kyiv International to supply food, blankets, hygiene items, baby needs and other humanitarian aid to over 100,000 individuals in Ukraine,” said Ferraro. “Through Andy’s leadership and dedicated service, we were able to fulfill an immediate need to provide emergency relief to war-impacted Ukrainians”, Ferraro added.

There are approximately 36,000 Rotary Clubs around the world. Rotary Club of River Cities serves Mount Prospect, Des Plaines and Prospect Heights.  The club holds weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 12:15pm at Trezeros Mount Prospect.
