Brad West will share information about his nonprofit, the Consumer Power Initiative, and the model they promote: Profit for Good. They promote businesses that have charities in the 90-100% shareholder position, because this creates the opportunity for consumers to fund charities through normal purchasing decisions without paying more.

Come listen to Char Padovani of Connections to Care (formerly Escorted Transportation Service). Connections to Care is a private charity that provides older adults (60+) with rides to their medical/dental appointments within the NW suburbs. Volunteer drivers pick up the rider at their home, take them to the appointment (doctor visit, x-ray, lab, minor procedure, dialysis), wait for them and return them to home. These selfless angels volunteer their time, vehicles and gas to provide this for seniors within a 14 suburban area. It is more than a ride. It is a connection. None of the Connections to Care successes would be possible without the wonderful volunteers, funders and donors throughout the years.
This is a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation starting at 12:15.
