"Where are my Keys? Where are my glasses?"
Betsy Skibinski is a member of the 2022 NW Suburban Walk Committee and also a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association of Chicago. She is very passionate about this disease, as her mom had it for 12 years and she was her primary care giver from afar before her mom succumbed to the disease.
For the past 7 years, Betsy has given her talk to Rotary Groups, Lions Club Members, Retirement Homes and members of the Knights of Columbus etc., emphasizing this is the disease of our generation for which there isn't a cure. She will be discussing signs, symptoms, do I have it, what to do if I have it, what happens if you have it, as well as personal experiences caring for her mom.
The Alzheimer's Committee Mission is to create Alzheimer's Disease awareness.
